SDR to HDR

More light and colour on HDR screens.

Convert standard video to HDR10 or HLG. Highlights get brighter and colours deeper on phones, TVs and monitors that support HDR, while resolution and frame rate stay as they are.

Questions

Good to know.

Will it look right on a normal screen?

HDR10 needs an HDR display. HLG degrades gracefully on standard screens.

What file do I get?

A 10-bit H.265 MP4 at your clip's resolution and frame rate.

How long can a clip be?

In the studio, up to 10 minutes and 2 GB per run; for a longer clip it processes the first 10 minutes.

Try SDR to HDR on a clip you already have.
